1.) If you want to subscribe to me, please go right ahead! If you'd like to drop a comment letting me know why, that would be pretty awesome, too, but you don't need to. I would prefer it, but it is not necessary.

2.) If, for some reason, you want me to subscribe to you, and I haven't already done so, you should probably either send me an email or leave a comment explaining why you think I should.

3.) If you are a person I already know, and I know that I enjoy reading your posts, and I know that you are in fact you (and not someone else who's snatched up your username, or that you're you despite having taken a different username yourself), I will happily subscribe to you, with or without your having contacted me first.

1.) I will grant access to people I know and trust.

2.) I will grant access to people I get a very good vibe from, if I feel that they might actually be interested in my access-locked posts.

3.) If you wish to grant access to me, that does increase the likelihood that I will return the favor. It is not a guarantee.

4.) If I don't know you, it will take a while for me to grant access, most likely; I am not going to list any specific time frame because it will undoubtedly vary depending on who you are and what sort of feel I get from you.

5.) It is possible I will grant access to people I am not subscribed to. In this case, it is because I have talked to you (or them) and established that you (or they) have a desire to see my locked posts, that I trust them (or you) to read those posts, and for some reason I don't desire to read their posts on my read list regularly.

6.) It doesn't mean that I like them better than you, if that has happened with someone else and I subscribe to you and have not granted access to you. It just means that I have talked to them about this, and I trust them to read locked material.

7.) If you aren't interested in reading my locked content, and I have granted you access, you are free to request that I remove that access. Reasons are nice, but not required.

1.) Since public posts are ... really, really public, there is not going to be any personal information in them.

2.) This means: anything that identifies where I live, precisely who I am (or who the people around me are), or anything else that is, well, personal. In other words, anything that I don't want people who I don't know to read. It won't be in those posts.

3.) In contrast: anything that is personal will go in an access-locked post. See above, if you want to read that.

4.) In return, I ask that you not post about my private, personal information in your open posts. If there is some reason you deem it necessary, please talk to me about that in advance.

5.) I do have a LiveJournal. This journal is not, however, linked directly with that one. Therefore: if you want to talk about me (or to me) in one of your posts, please pick a name to use. You can call me Brady. In addition, you can call me by my LJ username, if you know it, or you can call me [personal profile] distractionary. Please don't mix and match those two in any particular post.

1.) Public posts will probably include vague what-I-did-today ramblings, along with information relating to Dreamwidth as a community and certain aspects of original writing.

2.) I am not in fandom. I will not be talking about fandoms, publically or privately.

3.) Locked posts will include more specific what-I-did-today ramblings, and a lot more about my personal life, the people I know (and, in one case, live with), and the dozens of characters I spend far too much time thinking about for someone who's never going to publish anything.

4.) If you are interested in reading any of this, either subscribe or comment to tell me that you would like access granted to you.

tl;dr – subscribe away, access limited but genial, don't tell secrets, I talk too much.

Hi! I just wanted to say I really like the way you write. I browsed your profile after seeing your name in a community. Your profile page cracked me up and Content #2 is one very good reason I'd like to add you. (I'm not in any particular fandom; I am a fan of things, but I don't write fanfic and I don't watch enough television to establish a full-blown obsession. ^_^)

I think a lot of people are viewing DW as a new beginning, a way to refresh the entire journaling paradigm. I would be interested in receiving exactly however much access/subscription you are comfortable with. (And I love that DW gives us the options to do things this way.)

I hope you're enjoying this place as much as I am.

I am going to subscribe to you because I love your style of writing and am already amused by your posts. I hope we get to know each other better.

[personal profile] delight said I should stop being a twat and come subscribe to you as desired instead of secretly wanting to for weeks and being too shy/insecure .

Um. So, I did. :D?
